Junior Ranger
While we were driving to St Augustine Kit worked on the worksheets to earn her Jr. Ranger pin. There were several things she had to do while there. One of the things she had to do that she found difficult was to interview a ranger and a volunteer. Her father and I were so proud of her. She asked her questions like a natural, even though she was shy. When she finished her the interviews she received her pin. The Junior Ranger program is a wonderful resource for homeschoolers or anyone who wants their children to learn something when they visit a national monument.

Juniors Hike
The junior sabbath school class went on a 4 mile hike. They had a blast. Kit was worried that it would be too long for me. I smiled and said I would be ok. Alter they finished we met and roasted hot dogs and somores by a large camp fire. It was a very memorable time.

Teflon Science
For science Kit and Miss Ripstick wrote secret messages on Teflon plumbers tape. Teflon is a polymer. We watched some videos on how plumbers use it and found my Teflon pan to see another use for it.

PE
We are doing gymnastics. I love that this class is a mix of big and little kids. Mr. Wheels participates too when he can. Kit is very cautious. She is afraid to get hurt so she doesn't try new things. I am glad she has been doing this because her front roll is getting much better. I was almost didn't do the or class because it was one more thing to go do. I was afraid it would take away from the academic school day but I have seen an improvement in Kit. I am glad I let her go.
