This week has gotten warm here. We have been wondering if winter was ever going to turn in to spring. We have had rain, wind and jackets for too long. When it was sunny today the kids talked me into doing school at the table on the back deck. It was too bright (I am not complaining) so Tessa got out her Japanese umbrella to shade her paper. Mr. Wheels colored on his laminated pattern letters with green dry erase letters. When he was done I had him pretend he was a John Deere lawn mower and "mow the grass" to clean it up. This is the joy of homeschooling we don't go to school, school comes with us.

Making Regular Polygons
Today for math Tessa was making regular polygons. She is making a hexagon with her 45-45-90 & 30-60-90 triangle to get the 120 degree angle. It was a bit frustrating because the paper moved. She decided to tape them down and tape her triangles together. She was proud of her hexagon when she was done even though it was hard.
The Letter R
He does various activities for the letter of the week. Here are 2 of the ones we did this week. I printed the letter pattern pieces from Confessions of a Homeschooler. Mr. Wheels loves to paint. We have been doing these activities throughout the year. He is not as excited by them as he was at the beginning, but he still really loves painting.
