Mr. Wheels needs or be kept busy. He wants to be a part of school while I am teaching Tessa. He likes to do these activities. He gets board fast so I have other items in the bin to keep him busy. When he finishes his items in his bin he gets to play and watch something on the IPad. He seems to enjoy it all.

Letter E
This week we studies the letter E. I downloaded these letter pages from Confessions of a Homeschooler. This is one of the items we did this week. He gets overwelmed if I have him do this all by himself I have to put out only a few of the pattern blocks and ask him where they go. I know that in time he will be able to do this without much help. This is only one of the activities we did this week.
Egyptian Wall Painting
Tessa is studying Egypt so she is making a wall carving. The carving has her name in hieroglyphics and a picture of a Egyptian girl. First she traced her picture onto see through paper. We made the self drying dough from a recipe we found on the internet. We placed it in a pan with wax paper under it. We placed it aside for about a day. Once it was almost dry she put her drawing upside down onto the clay. She then took a pencil and drew over her drawing so that the pencil would transfer onto the clay. We waited again for it to dry completely. As it dried it split apart in one large crack. Then as it dried even further the crack pulled apart so that it was in two pieces. I fixed it with decoupage and painted the rest of the picture with it. Once that dried she used paint and sharpie markers to paint it.
She still has to finish the painting.
She still has to finish the painting.

Braces
Today she got her braces on. She got an expander on the top and a lip bumper on the bottom. With some braces on both the top and bottom. It was an eventful day for her. One she will remember for a long time.

1K race
Today Tessa ran a 1k race. We were proud of her she got 3rd place in her age group. I was able to see the beginning and the end. I could not see her run the middle of the race. Dad was able to be in the middle and take pictures.

Baptism
Tessa was baptized today. She was actually baptized in a lake. We went camping for the weekend and then ended the week with the baptism. She had many friends come and see her witness it. We couldn't be more happy.
