The 23rd Psalm

Mr. Wheels has his memory verses that we say during family worship each night. His sister has been learning The 23rd Psalm. Today he was sitting with us and said the entire thing. I then videoed it. I put in the subtitles in case it is difficult to understand his 3 year old accent.

Memory verse

Tessa has been memorizing the 10 commandments. We are taking 10 weeks to do it, one added each week. Each week she writes all the commandments that we have covered thus far. 

This week web are working on "you shall not commit adultery."

Letter H and I

We are catching up on out letters we are doing I this week but there are some activities that we did not do with the H last week. Mr. Wheels is using the pattern block so the letter I. I got theses sheets from Confessions of a Homeschooler. 

He enjoys doing this. I have to make sure that I give him a small amount of the blocks. He gets overwhelmed and then won't do anything. If I give him a small amount then add more as he goes he has a great time.

Tangrams

My daughter has tangrams that are included in her math minipulative kit. Mr. Wheels loved to play with them. So I downloaded tangrams sheets for him to place the shapes on.  He had difficulty determining that the shapes were real life objects. So I found this book

Tangramables : A Tangram Activity Book by Martschi 

This book has some activities in the front and then it has pictures that are under the tangrams. I bought it used from Amazon and it included tangrams that were for an overhead projector, they are transparent. He can place the tangrams on the pictures and see the picture through the tangrams. Eventually he will be able to determine the shape of the object, but for now he can minipulate the shape and gain those spatial math skills. 

Horse Art

Tessa has found a new love. She has been drawing. At this point she isn't producing her own content, but she is watching YouTube drawing tutorials. She drew this horse and then painted it. It is very gratifying for her because it looks good when she is done. 

Tangrams and Mighty Magnets

Mr. Wheels needs or be kept busy. He wants to be a part of school while I am teaching Tessa. He likes to do these activities. He gets board fast so I have other items in the bin to keep him busy. When he finishes his items in his bin he gets to play and watch something on the IPad. He seems to enjoy it all.

This week we studied the letter F. This is just a few of he the fun activities we did.
