Cycle 2 Latin Memory help

I am a tutor for Classical Conversations. This year is Cycle 2 and Latin is verb conjugations.  For those memorizing them for Memory Masters it could be difficult knowing what Latin conjugations goes with which tenses. Throughout the year I had several places I gathered ways to remember these, so I designed this document to have all in one place. I hope it is helpful for you.

Latin Charts & Vocab

My daughter is in Classical Conversations Challange this year and is learning Latin. There are so many charts and vocabulary cards to flip through. There are times of frustrations because of having so much stuff in front of her. We needed to get organized.

I have helped her get organized. We have made this chart book. Each of the charts are in paper protectors. In addition to the charts there is a vocab list. We have been practicing the vocab on Quizlet. I have printed them out in both English to Latin and Latin to English. Now while she is doing her assignments she has a quick reference in front of her to help her. Some ideas for you is that you can print blank declension pages to go in the back to practice. Your student then could fill them out with dry erase marker on the paper protector and then check him/herself with charts in the front.  The dry erase then can be erased for another day of practice. I want to share these with you.

President Fact sheets

We will be studying presidents soon. As I looked through the student resource packet that came with my curriculum I decided that I wanted some sheets similar to the state sheets that were provided. I wanted sheets that have specific places to write information about the president and a place for a picture of the president. I also didn't want to glue the fact cards that came in the packet, I want to quiz my daughter on them through out the time we are studying presidents. As a result I made some. I then thought that maybe someone has the same desire. So I am sharing them with you.

I got the pictures from a place mat. I will have my daughter cut them out and glue them on. I also found another file that could be great. Your child could color them and glue them on. You will have to print multiple to a page so that they will be smaller to fit here.
Another thing that we have been doing is singing the presidents song. I found this one it is very catchy.

I hope these are helpful. Please leave a comment if you have any questions or like them. Thanks

Weekly Game

I started something this year. On Fridays my daughter answers several questions as an overview for the week. If she doesn't know the answer she can look it up. It is not a test. These questions go on cards for a game. I started out with just questions from history, but branched out to science, math, and missed spelling words. We will add each weeks questions and have a large pot of questions. We made a game board and a spinner (dice can be used too). We will play with dad once a week. I also have a different set of questions for my son (age 4). When it is his turn he gets his questions. We use Lego people as our game pieces. Here is our game from this evening

Backbone

We area studying the animal kingdom. Today we made a backbone. It's instructions said to use spools of thread. We used penne noodles and a shoe lace. The nice thing about this is the shoe lace threads easily and the penne noodles fit together nicely. This was an easy demonstration.

Lefse

Tess is studying the Vikings and their invasion of Europe and England. Today we made lefse.
We put sugar on them like the recipe said. They are made of potato and we think it should not be sweet. We will try tomorrow morning and see if they are better with egg (tofu for me) and cheese (non dairy for me). We had Scandinavia lefse
