Week 28

This week we tried to have 2 of our students on Hangouts with us instead of class. It didn't work out as well as I would have liked it. The internet connections on both ends cause both of them to have to leave early.
We started the last unit of the year: Solids. We started with 11.1 The Grammar of Solids and learned the vocabulary and naming process. Next was 11.2 Surface Area of Prisms and Cylinders. We used the formulas that we memorized for these and did several examples to get the hang of them. Last we covered 11.3 Surface Area of Pyramids and Cones. Again we used the memorized formulas and did several examples. For both 11.2 & 11.3 they will have to remember how to find the area of several shapes we covered in Unit 10.
